bright sparks yoga classes still captivate and engage children’s creativity and imagination within a fun, playful non-competitive environment, however, the focus shifts slightly as children learn about their body and its capabilities as an educational component is gently weaved into to the yoga poses, free movement/creative dance and breathing exercises. Children’s confidence increases each week as their self-awareness, strength, flexibility and coordination improves. Children are also encouraged to practice kindness and respect for themselves and others as they work together during fun partner poses and group yoga games.
rising stars yoga classes 9 - 12 years
rising stars yoga classes are designed to educate and inspire tweens through yoga poses, breathing exercises, partner poses and fun group exercises, with the intention of empowering children to feel good about who they are! This age group begin to learn some basic principles of yoga, alignment and basic anatomy, while weaving positive affirmations into each class to boost self-image, self-confidence and self-belief. Children not only benefit from strengthening their bodies, they also benefit from strengthening their minds, through the art of gentle guided relaxation. Children learn simple tools to help calm, focus and restore inner balance to their body, mind and emotions, with the aim of helping them to discover a new found sense of inner connection to themselves.
