FAQ's for little lights yoga classes - OSHC & Vacation Care Programs
How long does each class run for?
OSHC
- Classes are designed in 8 week blocks, starting in week two of each school term, unless otherwise specified. The duration of each weekly class is 45 minutes. We recommend you book your child in for the full 8 week course. To ensure your child gains maximum benefits, weekly attendance allows them to become familiar with practicing each pose, build trust, gain confidence and increase strength. Children experience success through repetition and predictability, each week they become more comfortable with the yoga teacher, the group and flow of the class structure. Weekly attendance builds an atmosphere of safety and trust for all who participate, which supports children’s full participation and overall wellbeing.

No, all yoga mats are supplied.
What about toileting needs?
Children are reminded to go to the toilet just before the yoga class begins. This avoids disruption to the class and ensures children gain maximum benefits of participating in the full yoga class.
Is my child allowed to eat before yoga class?
Typically we don’t encourage children to eat straight before doing yoga. Practicing yoga after eating large amounts of food can feel uncomfortable as the body is trying to digest food while doing the yoga poses. However, we understand children are often hungry at 3.15pm when school finishes, so a small light snack would be ok if needed. For example a piece of fruit.

Yes, the yoga teacher holds:
